Students will live with host families in Salvador, Bahia; attend intensive language classes Monday-Friday; attend cultural activities during two or three afternoons per week; and participate in service-learning projects.

The group will also visit museums, cultural organizations, and travel on day trips to various parts of the city, the towns of Cahoeira, Santo Amaro, and São Felix; as well as two weekend excursions to the island of Morro do Sao Paulo and the National park of Chapada Diamantina in Lençoís, all within the State of Bahia.
