There are too many things to list. Most importantly, I learned to look outside of myself for advice on how to teach students. Go to PD workshops, search the internet, do whatever it takes to make your students feel like your classroom is a home away from home. - Stephen F. Austin State University View Entire Review

About

This graduate, doctoral level internship seminar will provide the context for an authentic cross-cultural experience. Students will embark on a two week field adventure in the breath-taking, beautiful Central American nation of Costa Rica. The course instructors and students will explore multiple cultural, social, and natural environments to include cities, towns, villages, schools, rainforests, mountain regions, coastal areas, and agricultural zones.Through authentic, challenging aesthetic learning experiences, candidates will cultivate an appreciation for indigenous flora, fauna, language, culture, and geography integrated into the cross cultural-learning process, as well as an enhanced understanding of globalization and its meaning for educational leaders as scholar-practitioners.
