information about the DDR; It was only worth it because of the fact I traveled abroad- nothing I learned made it worthwhile

the hostel was actually the best

it was almost too easy to feel at home- everyone there spoke English!

Not including program expenses, about how much money did you spend on food and other expenses each week? I planned $30/day on food and came out very close to it (not including non-food shopping)
Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? bring water bottles so you don't have to pay for drinks at every meal eating a lot of protein at breakfast will allow you to buy smaller portions of food at lunch

Do you have any tips/advice on the best ways to practice the language for future study abroad participants? challenge yourself to try the foreign language first, before reverting to native English. the locals are understanding
