I gained new friends and a new sense of self. I grew up while I was away and discovered that I love traveling. I believe I am a more well rounded person now and have a greater acceptance of other cultures. Because of this experience I plan to one day live abroad.

Imagine yourself studying in Paris, one of the great European capitals! Travel back in time to Haussmann’s Paris as you stroll down grand avenues such as the Champs-Elysees, explore the Place de la Bastille, or visit the breathtaking Eiffel Tower. You can even see the sights while taking one of our most popular classes, “Art & Architecture”. This course uses Paris as your classroom as you visit the architectural wonders of this great city. You’ll have time to not only discover Paris, but to discover France while participating in the weekend excursions to Brittany and Marseille. Want to have an even more immersive experience? Stay with a host family to learn the French way of life firsthand. Not only will your French language skills improve, but you’ll make a lifelong connection to a city and its people that you’ll carry with you for years to come. Don’t worry if you’re not ready to stay with a host family — you can also stay on our Paris campus. Accommodations: Our campus puts you in the middle of the City of Light. Located in the 6th arrondissement, just steps from many of the city’s cultural and historic attractions, the amenities in this home away from home include a cafeteria, WiFi, air conditioning and communal study and lounge areas. Homestays are also available during the spring semester for those looking to really immerse themselves into the French culture. In the past year, our students committed nearly 5,000 hours to service sites worldwide. You’ll make a real difference through activities like teaching English to local students, serving in soup kitchens and mentoring school children. Best of all, volunteering lets you actively engage the people in your new host city. Excursions: You’ll visit landmarks, including the Eiffel Tower, the Arc de Triomphe, and Montmartre (where most of Amélie takes place), Sacre-Coeur, Versailles and the American cemetery in Normandy. In addition, students will travel to cities like Reines, Normandy, Marseille, and Marrakesh, Morocco. These faculty-led excursions are designed to meld intellectual adventure with beautiful sites and gastronomical treasures. Want to meet Parisian students? Be sure to participate in the mixers arranged with area schools. Practice your French while making new friends!
