SIT Study Abroad: Spain - Social Movements, Democracy, and Cultural Identity

What did you gain/learn from your experience abroad? Was it worthwhile?
I improved my Spanish because I used it every day. I learned the basics of the Spanish political system and met with a variety of politicians and nonprofits. The program was hosted in a beautiful city and there were many planned long and short excursions in addition to the opportunity to travel independently across europe. It was an amazing experience overall.

The Avid Adventurer
The wardrobe you packed was better suited for a semester of camping than club hopping. Outdoorsy, you might forgo a crazy night out for an early all-day adventure. You'd rather take in the rich culture of an old town than the metropolis of a modern city, but for you getting off the grid is ideal.
