SIT Study Abroad Nepal: Development, Gender, and Social Change in the Himalaya

What did you gain/learn from your experience abroad? Was it worthwhile?
I gained a second family. I gained life-long friends. I gained a country as a second home. I gained confidence in myself, I learned that I am capable to travel alone in a super foreign country. I learned about the culture so deeply, and so personally, and gained a major appreciation and fondness for this country and these people. It was absolutely worthwhile.

Reasons For Studying Abroad

The Avid Adventurer
The wardrobe you packed was better suited for a semester of camping than club hopping. Outdoorsy, you might forgo a crazy night out for an early all-day adventure. You'd rather take in the rich culture of an old town than the metropolis of a modern city, but for you getting off the grid is ideal.
