What did you gain/learn from your experience abroad? Was it worthwhile?
Definitely increased my cultural awareness, taught me skills about going our and experiencing and documenting on my own, but mostly gave me the time and resources to do it.

different- crash courses on themes in chile's healthcare system, then independent and group site visits. more about understanding different systems and life styles.

Sometimes it over-prepared us, other times not at all.

How satisfied were you with your living arrangements?

* Food:

depends on the family, some of the food was good. different tastes- lots of mayo and salt. and the family worked hard to have lunch at home for me even if they couldnt all be there-most days. asadas were great though.

* Social & Cultural Integration:

How integrated did you feel with the local culture?

arica is limited, but personally met great people in santiago/valpo and southern chile and was invited to a pena and more!

How well were health issues addressed during the program?

* Safety:

Felt safe and aware of possible dangers. Program informed us well.
