Semester at Sea Study Abroad: Make the World Your Campus

What did you gain/learn from your experience abroad? Was it worthwhile?
I gained a perspective on humanity and the world that I never would have otherwise. I met so many unique people and visited places that people only dream about doing in their lives. It was absolutely worthwhile and I loved every minute of it.

On ship food was very repetitive and could have been healthier

Rating is about ship culture; the ship had a very unique culture and social experience

* Health Care:

How well were health issues addressed during the program?

I had stomach trouble on ship; doctor prescribed me food with light carbs, and the dining hall was "not allowed" to serve it to me until designated eating times.

* Safety:

Had monthly lifeboat drills

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? No

As much as I absolutely loved and highly recommend Semester at Sea, it is not a program I would do again. It was a once in a lifetime trip for me, and I would probably pick a multi-country trip again, but one that I live on land the whole time.
