The Avid Adventurer
The wardrobe you packed was better suited for a semester of camping than club hopping. Outdoorsy, you might forgo a crazy night out for an early all-day adventure. You'd rather take in the rich culture of an old town than the metropolis of a modern city, but for you getting off the grid is ideal.

Comments: So cool learning how to deploy scientific equipment off the research vessel. Assessed by one large exam on shore and numerous small projects and lab participation during watch on the boat.

Directed Oceanographic Research

Comments: Designed an independent oceanographic research project while on shore and wrote a project proposal and presented during a poster session. Collected and analyzed data on ship and wrote a final peer reviewed style journal article. Presented during a final poster presentation. Underwent 4 or more rounds of revision. Very rewarding class.
