Personal Information

How much international exposure did you have prior to this program? 1 month - 6 months

Review Your Program

* Overall educational experience

Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc.

The class time was a little bit too long over in Italy since prior to departure we had hour and a half meetings every week in one semester, and then our site visits all count as class time.

* Host Country Program Administration

On-site administration of your program

* Housing:

How satisfied were you with your living arrangements?

The first apartment I was in was beautiful and had a great view, but the landlord was not very responsive to alerts about two leaking air conditioners. The second apartment I moved into on the trip was beautiful and was right off of the Main Street.

* Food:

Some of the food at the one restraint was getting repetive, so I would suggest more of a variety.

* Social & Cultural Integration:

How integrated did you feel with the local culture?

* Health Care:

How well were health issues addressed during the program?

* Safety:

I felt safe most of the time I felt uncomfortable walking to my first apartment at night even in a group because of the area that was not well lit, when I contacted a professor about a man knocking on my appartment door the response was quick and many people checked in to make sure I was okay.

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? Yes

I would chose the program again but I would chose to not make as many videos for the trip.

Finances

* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)

Not including program expenses, about how much money did you spend on food and other expenses each week? $30

You went abroad with specific academic goals in mind; the program credentials and rigor of your coursework abroad were very important to you. You had a great time abroad, but never lost sight of your studies and (if applicable) were diligent with your foreign language study. Good for you!
