About

SAI works in partnership with the Sant'Anna Institute to offer students a remarkable study abroad experience. Overlooking the Mediterranean Sea at the tip of the Amalfi Coast, Sorrento, with its charming cobblestone streets, lively piazza, and vibrant cultural scene, is known for its beautiful scenery and friendly locals. This lovely city lies close to many nature preserves and historic sites such as Pompeii, Herculaneum, and Capri.  Sorrento also provides easy access to Rome and Naples for excursions and guided field studies.

At the Sant’Anna Institute, SAI offers summer, semester and year long programs with a focus on Language, Art and Archaeology, Literature, Social Studies, Business, Natural Sciences and Liberal Arts courses. Sorrento is considered one of the loveliest cities in Italy with its lemon groves, flower gardens and nearby beaches, lies close to many nature preserves and historic sites such as Pompeii, Herculaneum, and Capri.

At the core of the SAI program in Sorrento is the unique and varied coursework offered by the international faculty at the Sant'Anna Institute. In addition to six levels of Italian language, courses featuring Italian society and culture taught by faculty from local universities will take advantage of Sorrento’s unique location on the Mediterranean and in Southern Italy. There is no language pre-requisite and subject-area courses are conducted in English.

SAI oversees and coordinates all aspects of student enrollment, including application processing, course selection and credit, visa advising, housing, student health insurance, and transcripts. In addition, SAI provides comprehensive student services, from the moment of application, through the on-site experience, until students return home.
