About
The School of Law offers a summer program at Trinity College in Dublin. Law students, from Quinnipiac and other ABA law schools, have the opportunity to live and study on the Trinity campus in the heart of Dublin.
Each summer, faculty from Quinnipiac and Trinity teach courses on Irish, European, international and comparative law. The courses will be Irish Legal System, International Human Rights, and Comparative National Security Law.
The program, now in its 21st year, includes visits to Irish legal institutions including the Four Courts, the King's Inns, and Oireachtas Éireann, the Irish Parliament. It also includes optional trips to such historic venues as Brú na Bóinne, site of the Newgrange prehistoric passage tombs, and Kilmainham Gaol, where Padraig Pearse, James Connolly and other leaders of the 1916 Easter rising were executed. Many historical and cultural events will mark the centennial of the Easter rising, which led to Irish War of Independence.
Each student must have a valid passport. Travel arrangements between the United States and Ireland are the responsibility of the student.
The Quinnipiac School of Law reserves the right to cancel the program depending on enrollment or because of international unrest. If the program is cancelled, all money paid to Quinnipiac will be refunded.
