Half of my family hails from Japan, and I have always had trouble communicating with them. When I visited them as soon as the program was over, they noticed my improvement instantly. I loved it! I learned a lot of the language but also just living in Japan for 2 months and experiencing the culture (AND FOOD) was totally unforgettable. - Harvard University View Entire Review
Very worthwhile. I miss that time. - Harvard University View Entire Review
It did not do much of anything that I had not already gained from living in Japan when I was 18 years old. However, it was very beneficial to my education. - Harvard University View Entire Review

Past Review Summer In Japan
I'm more excited than ever to study abroad in Japan during the semester. I feel like a more independent person after the experience, ready to take on anything. - Harvard University View Entire Review
This was definitely worthwhile. I learned a ton. Both about Japanese Culture and the language. I made a ton of great friends and I generally just had an amazing time. It was probably the most fun I've ever had during a summer and I would do it again ten times over. - Harvard University View Entire Review

Yes. Sadly, I am re-taking the language that I've taken there back at Harvard but the reason for doing so was because the program was faster than I anticipated thus the reason why I am taking it again so I can fully master the grammar points and then move on. - Harvard University View Entire Review
