Cultural Immersion in Cordoba, Spain. Past Review

PRESHCO: Study Abroad in Córdoba, Spain

What did you gain/learn from your experience abroad? Was it worthwhile?
I learned the most from Spanish friends. The PRESCHO group hung out too much with themselves and not really branching out. The PRESCHO office in Cordoba was amazing--Eva, Encari, Maribel, Martha. I would like to go back to Cordoba sometime. I'm so glad there was the orientation trip, but I wished that was later in the program because it was awkward at the beginning when we didn't know anyone.

Review Your Program

* Overall educational experience

Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc.

Grading system was unorganized-- I did not know how I was doing throughout the semester. Teaching methods: I just felt talked at. Nothing interesting to discuss...should give more readings to discuss in class rather than in us talking about topics in generalities. Workload was low which I liked.

* Host Country Program Administration

On-site administration of your program

everything. wish they told us more about the cultural activities going on in cordoba like concerts, bulls, etc.

* Housing:

* Safety:

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? Yes

Finances

* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)
