What did you gain/learn from your experience abroad? Was it worthwhile?
Yes - I learned so much about Spain and the Spanish language and culture while I was there, and I was happy about my semester there.

How satisfied were you with your living arrangements?

* Food:

I am a vegetarian, and my host mother did a wonderful job of cooking 100% vegetarian meals for me, despite the fact that she herself was not a vegetarian.

* Social & Cultural Integration:

How integrated did you feel with the local culture?

PRESHCO organized some wonderful day and weekend trips for the us - such as to Granada, Sevilla, and an olive-oil factory.

* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)

Not including program expenses, about how much money did you spend on food and other expenses each week? I did not spend much money because everything was provided as part of my homestay. I only spent money on my travels outside of Cordoba.
Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? Take advantage of the reembolso program - because I was being reimbursed, I felt okay about spending my extra money on meals out in Cordoba and exploring the city that I was living in.

Language acquisition improvement?

I spoke Spanish to the staff working in the PRESHCO office and to all of my professors. I also spoke Spanish to my family in my homestay. None of these people spoke any English. I used Spanish everyday in all of my interactions, except those with my American friends.
