What did you gain/learn from your experience abroad? Was it worthwhile?
I feel more confident with my spanish skills. Personally, I feel more independent and confident.

Try everything! I'm a picky eater but the food in Spain is amazing!

How integrated did you feel with the local culture?

I had an internship and made spanish friends- this helped a lot in geting to know the city.

* Health Care:

How well were health issues addressed during the program?

Program made the appointment and took me to the office. It was fast and not too expensive.

* Safety:

Stay away from the gypsies, it's always good to find a friend to walk home with late at night.

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? Yes

* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)

I traveled around Europe and that took up most of my budget. Spain is very inexpensive though.

Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? Look for free/inexpensive activities, I brought all of my toiletries and clothing from home.

Do you have any tips/advice on the best ways to practice the language for future study abroad participants? Start speaking spanish from the first day you arrive in Spain, don't put it off. It's always a good idea to speak Spanish with your American friends.
