This study abroad experience was very worth it and I would do it again in a heartbeat. It was awesome to interact with students from other countries, as well as connect more with the students and staff from Penn State Altoona.

Review Your Program

* Overall educational experience

Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc.

I think the whole experience was incredible. Where it took a lot of work to get there, it paid off in the end when we got to present in front of people from so many different countries. It was an amazing experience.

* Host Country Program Administration

On-site administration of your program

The program was well laid out and planned. Everything was taken care of for us and it made it a lot easier on the students.

* Housing:

How satisfied were you with your living arrangements?

The three hotels that we stayed in were all very nice and clean and beautiful. Everything was very safe.

* Food:

I liked most of the restaurants that we ate at, and the food was very good.

* Social & Cultural Integration:

How integrated did you feel with the local culture?

It was nice to travel around and make new friends.

* Health Care:

How well were health issues addressed during the program?

* Safety:

The program was well planned, and we were always safe.

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? Yes

Finances

* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)

Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? The cost of the food was a little higher than expected, but not bad.

Language

How would you rate your language skills at the beginning of the program? None
Language acquisition improvement?

I don't think they improved any because most of the students from Penn State Altoona did not speak Korean, and neither do I.
