Oxbridge St Andrews is an academic program for students in grades 9-12 held in the University of St Andrews in Fife, Scotland. Founded in 1413, the University of St Andrews is the oldest in Scotland and third oldest in the English-speaking world. Nestled atop a rocky headland on the east coast of Scotland, St Andrews is a small town with breathtaking views of the North Sea. St Andrews boasts beautiful beaches bordering its historic buildings and cobblestoned streets, and further inland, the rolling green hills of Fife continue as far as the eye can see.
Our international faculty is drawn from some of the best Scottish and English universities, with leading researchers and professors pulled directly from St Andrews’ School of Medicine, the UK’s most modern medical school, and long-considered one of the best places to study medicine in the UK. Oxbridge St Andrews offers courses as diverse as Anatomy and Physiology, Economics, Politics, Medicine, British History, and Sports Psychology.
Students on the program have the unique opportunity of using the facilities of the University of St Andrews as well as its surrounding town as a classroom and laboratory. Together with program administrators, including Program Deans and Activities Directors, students enjoy a daily schedule that combines intellectual and curricular adventure, cultural enrichment, guest speakers, field trips, activities and sports – all in a safe, supervised environment. It is the combination of these elements that permit students on Oxbridge St Andrews to learn and explore interesting new ideas within their course subject areas, as well as to discover new things about themselves.
