Oxbridge Academic Programs: Barcelona - Oxbridge in Barcelona

Our program in Barcelona offers a full range of courses in English and in Spanish for all levels, from complete beginners to advanced. Students who have never studied Spanish, or have only studied it for two years, and wish to study it, should enroll in Conversation and Composition. Students who have studied Spanish for at least 3 years should consider enrolling in one of our immersion courses. This program is not only designed for all levels of Spanish language experience, but also for students who are interested in learning about the city and the country, not necessarily the language. Whatever their priorities, students come away with a new understanding of their subject matter as well as an expert familiarity with Barcelona.

As we accept students who don’t speak Spanish or have a beginner level, the program is run in English.  Nevertheless, students have the opportunity to improve their language skills in their free time as we offer tours and activities in Spanish, as well as the chance to sit at the “Mesa española” and dine with our faculty and staff while speaking Spanish.

The international faculty includes scholars and academics, as well as creative professionals - artists, photographers, and writers - who use the city as a textbook, helping the students discover Barcelona from the perspective of the subjects they have chosen to study. Together with program administrators, including Program Deans and Activities Directors, students enjoy a daily schedule that combines intellectual and curricular adventure, cultural enrichment, field trips, guest speakers, activities, sports and, for those who are interested, activities in Spanish and language workshops, - all in a safe, supervised environment.
