NRCSA: Sosua - NRCSA Center

The beach town of Sosúa, located on the North coast just east of Puerto Plata, was originally settled by 600 Jewish refugees in the early 1940's. Although many of them left after World War II ended, some stayed and raised families in Sosúa. Their presence is noticeable in street names such as Calle David Stern and in the synagogue they built located on Calle Alejo Martínez. Sosúa is an easygoing town with open air bars, restaurants, discotheques, and a white sand beach. The NRCSA institute is located 5 minutes from the public beach in a beautifully remodeled building which contains both apartments and classrooms. PROGRAMS STANDARD GROUP -20 group lessons/week -45 minute classes -2-7 students per class INTENSIVE GROUP -30 group lessons/week -45 minute classes -2-7 students per class TRAVELING CLASSROOM The Traveling Classroom program is 2 weeks in duration (20 hours per week) and takes students through many of the enchanting and diverse regions of the Dominican Republic. -20 group lessons/week -45 minute lessons -3-6 students per class PRIVATE CLASSES -20 hours of private classes/week -45 minute classes The student residence is located on the school's premises in the midst of a lush tropical garden. Daily cleaning and friendly, personalized service is provided. A single room with breakfast included, served Monday to Saturday at 8:30 in the school cafeteria. Simple, but cozy. Private bathroom, refrigerator, fan and cable TV. The apart-hotel option includes a living room, air conditioning, bedroom, bath, kitchenette, cable TV, and balcony with breakfast served Monday to Saturday at 8:30 in the school cafeteria. General facilities of the apart-hotel include a swimming pool, workout facilities, swimming pool, bar, laundry room, and internet cafe. Located just 5 minutes away from the institute by public transportation or hotel shuttle bus. This option is available upon request and at additional cost.
