About

Prague is known affectionately as the 'mother of all cities.' The city boasts its architectual beauty - Gothic cathedrals and flying buttresses abound. In addition to Prague's serene beauty, it also enjoys a booming nightlife. After all, per person, the Czech Republic consumes the most beer of any nation in the world.

Prague, Prague, with 600 years of architechtural magnificence, is one of Europe's best preserved cities. The 1989 birthsite of the Velvet Revolution, which ended Communist rule, the people of Prague are proud of their history and their city. The River Vltava (Moldau in German) divides the capital into two unequal halves. Walks in the Hradcany quarter brings sights of the castle, the cathedral and the former palaces of the aristocracy.
