About

Chiang Mai, in the Northern mountains, is the longest continuously lived in settlement from the ancient days of Siam. It combines temples dating from the 1200’s with the latest in spas and world class medicine. Enjoy the many holidays, each known for their unique festivities. Stroll through eight hundred years of history. Relish the food. Explore the myriad of shops. Take in the many sports venues ranging from international racing or cricket to soccer or golf. There is something for everyone in Thailand. NRCSA provides foreign language and culture training to students from all over the globe. Interactive tutor and semi-tutor classes provide a balance of conversation, comprehension, grammar and reading and writing instruction. Cultural themes are integrated into conversation exercises, assigned readings and recommended independent activities. STANDARD GROUP PROGRAM • 15 Group hrs/wk • 50 min class hour • 3-10 Students per class Students studying at the NRCSA center in Chiang Mai stay in a family run guest houses in central Chiang Mai within walking distance of major attractions and classes. They are simple yet provide the basic essentials including a private or semi-private bathroom. For those who want more more upscale accommodations with air conditioning, options are available at additional cost. Centrally located guest houses provide a unique environment and allow the student to practice the skills they learn in class with the staff and in a predominately Thai speaking neighborhood. This provides language immersion with easy access to areas of cultural interest. Breakfast in included daily.
