Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc.

Learned alot in my classes, and teachers made classes interesting and fun to listen to.

* Host Country Program Administration

On-site administration of your program

* Housing:

How satisfied were you with your living arrangements?

Lived in the Prince Dorm. Very comfortable, but slightly on the higher price side. Electricity fee not included.

* Food:

Food is delicious and everywhere (convenient)

* Social & Cultural Integration:

How integrated did you feel with the local culture?

Met many people in Taiwan from all over the world.

* Health Care:

How well were health issues addressed during the program?

* Safety:

Was updated right away when swine flu broke out.

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? No

Finances

* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)

Language

Language acquisition improvement?

I had many friends who were local Taiwanese which helped alot in the improvement of my Chinese. However, I still hung out with alot of foreigners that could not speak Chinese which gave me the occasional luxury of speaking English.

Direct Enrollment/Exchange

* Did you study abroad through an exchange program or did you directly enroll in the foreign university? Exchange

A Look Back

* What do you know now that you wish you knew before going on this program? This university is a good choice if you want to learn traditional Chinese character. Also, Taiwan has an amazing history and culture so you MUST travel all of Taiwan to truly absorb everything!
