Yes, it was completely worthwhile, and I would recommend Singapore to anyone who's wondering where to go abroad.

Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc. |
Nanyang Technological University as a highly competitive academic atmosphere. They expect a lot from their students, and I was pushed to work harder in this setting than ever before. For this reason, it was a very good overall education experience. |

NTU was incredibly helpful. Their international student office was always willing to help if needed, along with all of the faculty and staff. They were very organized upon arrival, and helpful the entire semester. |

* Housing:
How satisfied were you with your living arrangements? |
I lived in Hall 16 in a dorm room with another International student who happened to be American, too. It worked out very well, and we were in an area of campus with most of the other international students. It had a small gym for just our hall, and a very nice and welcoming receptionist for our building. (We were lucky that it was air conditioned, as most of the halls were not.) |

We were right next to a 'canteen' that served Chinese and Indian food. I was a little nervous at first, but it was awesome. There are several places all over campus to eat, and I was never disappointed. Going into the city to eat was definitely a treat, but nothing I ever became desperate for. The food on campus is great. |

* Social & Cultural Integration:
How integrated did you feel with the local culture? |
Singapore was awesome, but not a radical cultural change for me. This experience came from the frequent (and cheap) trips we took to nearby islands and countries. It was so easy to travel to Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, and more, and pretty much every international student takes advantage of this. |

How well were health issues addressed during the program? |

Singapore is one of the safest countries in the world due to the fact their government is so strict. I felt totally safe walking alone at night. |
| If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? |

I spoke English in Singapore (it's their national languages), so language skills were not relevant for me while I was abroad. |
