About

Participants study at the Universidad Antonio de Nebrija, a private and independent institution in Madrid accredited by the Spanish government. Spanish courses are taught at the metropolitan Campus de Madrid-Princesa, conveniently located in the city center. 

The program focuses on Spanish language and culture with some English language electives available during the summer and a wider variety of courses available in English and Spanish for semester or year-long participants. Lodging in host families and residence halls are offered subject to availability with three meals per day. Programs include cultural activities, airport pickup, MLSA staff on site, and more. Optional excursions are also available.

Modern Language Studies Abroad (MLSA) Scholarships

Awards for students who demonstrate a strong interest in study abroad in Spain or Costa Rica and who are pursuing a major or minor in Spanish.

Up to $500

Deadlines:
March 31 for Summer Programs

Guidelines/Requirements:
- Be pursuing a major or minor in Spanish and demonstrate interest in studying abroad in Costa Rica or Spain. - Have been accepted into the MLSA program. - Write an essay on "Why I want to Study Abroad." No minimum length required. - Have a GPA of 3.30. - Submit an official college transcript. - Submit a letter of recommendation from one of your Spanish teachers.
