Review Your Program

* Host Country Program Administration

On-site administration of your program

Minzu Daxue has an amazing international student dorm. It was very modern, very clean, new furniture, TV, good internet, comfortable beds, conveniently close to campus. The only thing was the classroom was pretty old with poor A/C.

* Housing:

How satisfied were you with your living arrangements?

so great. see above.

* Food:

Everything was cheap and delicious! Explore the small shops because their food was delicious.

* Social & Cultural Integration:

How integrated did you feel with the local culture?

The field trips the program provided were awesome. We got to see all the essential historical sites like the Great Wall, Forbidden City, etc. However, because of the intensive nature of the program, we couldn't go out and travel very much. You had very little time to see any China outside of Beijing.

* Health Care:

How well were health issues addressed during the program?

* Safety:

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? No

Finances

* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)

Not including program expenses, about how much money did you spend on food and other expenses each week? Per week? About $50.
Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? You'll buy a lot upfront, so be prepared!
