I loved this program. I gained more independence and became more resourceful, but also felt more integrated into the city's culture than I could ever feel at Middlebury

I started dating a local and saved a lot of money eating at his home, but i still spent a lot of money eating out with my friends

Comments: The professor was very knowledgable and well prepared. The class was easy to participate in. I was assessed on class participation, an in-class presentation, and a final paper.

Comments: It was very challenging. The teacher was knowledgable and well prepared but there were no field trips. I ultimately preferred the translation assignments to the essay writing assignments

Comments: It was challenging. It seemed like my topic of choice was doomed from the start due to how obscure it was and how little material was available on the subject. The scarcity of sources ultimately counted against me in the evaluation of the paper
