About

This program will focus on the evolution of primate and avian biodiversity in forests of western Uganda. With various habitats and tremendously rich biota, Uganda is one of the world’s mega-diversity hotspots. Highlights of the program include tracking the endangered mountain gorilla at Bwindi National Park, tracking chimpanzees at Kibale forest, a boat trip to find the bizarre Shoebill, seeing many elusive birds and monkeys with expert Ugandan guides, and viewing savanna-dwelling wildlife, such as elephants, antelope, and lions at Queen Elizabeth National Park.
