What did you gain/learn from your experience abroad? Was it worthwhile?
It was definitely worthwhile. I gained a lot of patience and confidence in life that I hadn't had before. I feel much better about talking to people, and better about my abilities to cope with situations outside my comfort zone.

Review Your Program

* Overall educational experience

Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc.

I like the academics of the private university, with much smaller classes, better.

* Host Country Program Administration

On-site administration of your program

They were well organized and made sure that we saw different parts of the culture, but they also let us have free time to explore on our own. They were not always clear on academic matters though.

* Housing:

How satisfied were you with your living arrangements?

There was nothing really to complain about.

* Food:

I had to buy my own and only ate what was cheap though not terribly healthy.

* Social & Cultural Integration:

How integrated did you feel with the local culture?

It was great. We took trips, we had free time, we learned things about the Irish culture.

* Health Care:

How well were health issues addressed during the program?

* Safety:

I didn't have any health or safety concerns.

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? No

Finances

* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)

Not including program expenses, about how much money did you spend on food and other expenses each week? I honstly don't know. I guess it would be around 40-50 euro per week.
Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? try not to buy many drinks at the bars. Don't take your credit/debit card with you. Leave it at home, and only bring a fixed amount of cash with you.

A Look Back

* What do you know now that you wish you knew before going on this program? It's a very rewarding experience. You might not think you're missing out on anything if you don't go, but you are.
