What did you gain/learn from your experience abroad? Was it worthwhile?
I learned some Spanish and made some amazing friends that I will visit someday hopefully in the near future. I have experiences from this program I will never forget.

I do not want to go back to America to eat.

How integrated did you feel with the local culture?

I was with the other Americans often, however, my roommates were all native Spanish speakers and that helped a lot with immersing myself to the local culture.

How well were health issues addressed during the program?

* Safety:

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? Yes

I can't imagine you will find another program that will offer you what you need more than Linguistic Horizons.

* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)

Not including program expenses, about how much money did you spend on food and other expenses each week? 40
Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? I budgeted my money to see how much I wanted to have when I left the program and how much I had starting the program. Then from there I knew what my daily limit was and I rarely went over that and was just fine. It is very cheap in general and you can get by easily on food for less than $20 a day.
