Academically it was extremely valuable. The people at Lincoln are great, and I look forward to going back as soon as I can. It is a great experience which I highly recommend.

A Look Back

* What did you like most about the program?
  • The people are very friendly, very welcoming and used to Middlebury students, and generally curious about America, in a nice way.
* What could be improved?
  • I wouldn't change anything
* What do you know now that you wish you knew before going on this program? Almost all of your academic and social life will take place in college. This is typical of the Oxford undergraduate experience. Lincoln is a great college, so this is a positive attribute of the program.

Victorian Literature

Instruction Language: English
Comments: Dr Herford will go far out of his way to helpf you. The material is great, as it is in all the period classes. Wide reading from the reading list is expected, as is having essays done on time. But it is a great list, and Dr Herford will talk and talk about it with only the slightest prompting.

Comments: Dr McCullough is a brilliant man, and very nice. This is his field, and his enthusiasm for the material is infectious.
