A lot more about Korean culture, a few friends, and an unforgettable experience. It was worth every second I spent at KU.

All the admin staff were very friendly, patient and approachable. They were very helpful with not just school admin matters but could also advise on other things such as places to visit etc. |

* Food: |
On campus food is very affordable and tasted pretty good! Worth every cent spent! |
* Social & Cultural Integration:
How integrated did you feel with the local culture? |
All the cultural events planned for us were absolutely amazing and engaging. Allowed us to interact a lot more with local students and to get to know local culture a little better. Would highly recommend the Nanta show if you're up for some humour! |
* Health Care:
How well were health issues addressed during the program? |
|
* Safety: |
Korea is pretty safe. We could walk around even at late hours without feeling afraid. |
If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? |
Yes
I would go through it again as it allowed me to interact with and to get to know a lot more people which I love doing. The activities planned for us were also very appropriate and highly engaging. |
Finances
* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?
(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost) |
On campus and around campus food were pretty affordable and it was pretty easy to live within a student's budget. On occasions where we felt like having something fancy, it still wouldn't cost too much and comes up to about the same price as back home. |
Not including program expenses, about how much money did you spend on food and other expenses each week? | $175 |
Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? | If you want to save up a little, have your meals on campus or at shops nearby as they tend to be cheaper. |
