What did you gain/learn from your experience abroad? Was it worthwhile?
I gained experience abroad that challenged me to get out of my comfort zone. I learned that I am capable of traveling afar and can be more confident than I thought.

Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc.

I loved the many field excursions and hearing from the various professor's insight. For a two week course, the workload is reasonable.

Definitely got my fill of Italian food!

* Social & Cultural Integration:

How integrated did you feel with the local culture?

Definitely will remember navigating the cities as a class and as a group to find dinner.

How well were health issues addressed during the program?

No health issues experienced.

* Safety:

Instructors gave great advice to maintain safety. I did not get pickpocketed luckily.

* What do you know now that you wish you knew before going on this program? I wish I knew that I am capable of going abroad alone and building friendships. The uncertainty of the trip was stress-inducing but well worth it.

The wardrobe you packed was better suited for a semester of camping than club hopping. Outdoorsy, you might forgo a crazy night out for an early all-day adventure. You'd rather take in the rich culture of an old town than the metropolis of a modern city, but for you getting off the grid is ideal.
