KIIS: Italy - Experience Italy, Winter Program

What did you gain/learn from your experience abroad? Was it worthwhile?
I learned a lot about Italian culture and got to finally see all of the artwork and historical sites I've learned about for so long! I wish I could take everyone I know on this trip!

Accommodations were nice and spacious! Greater than what I was expecting!

How integrated did you feel with the local culture?

I learned a lot about the culture, but since we were in mostly tourist areas, it was hard to get completely integrated.

How well were health issues addressed during the program?

* Safety:

I always felt safe. I think the staff that went with us made it seem like we would be destined to be pick pocketed or mugged and I never once felt unsafe.

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? Yes

I had a wonderful time in Italy! I learned a lot and made great memories!

Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? If you want to save money, pack snacks in your luggage to eat for lunch instead of going out to eat each day. Breakfast is provided by the hotel and everyone goes out for dinner.
