What did you gain/learn from your experience abroad? Was it worthwhile?
I learned more of the culture. I knew a little bit of the language already going in, but it was great hearing and learning the Kansai-ben. I also definitely improve my language overall. It was definitely worthwhile! I feel like a have another family in another country after doing to host family program. I still keep in touch with them and I miss them a lot.

Do you have any tips/advice on the best ways to practice the language for future study abroad participants? I definitely recommend living with a host family!! I had to practice Japanese with my family and they also help you check homework, essays and presentations.
