Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc.

I absolutely loved the professors and the educational experience that I received at John Cabot, all of them are super friendly and willing to talk to you! I would suggest taking Professor Argentieri for Politics of Developing Countries, he is such a sweet and wise man and a great professor!

* Host Country Program Administration

On-site administration of your program

I absolutely loved the SAI program, all of the workshops and trips that you can take through the program and awesome and I would do it over again if I could!

* Housing:

How satisfied were you with your living arrangements?

Very!

* Food:

The food here was amazing, I cannot even tell you how amazing authentic Roman food is.

* Social & Cultural Integration:

How integrated did you feel with the local culture?

Very, but you get in what you put in! You have to put forth the effort to make sure you know the language and learn the way of the people!

* Health Care:

How well were health issues addressed during the program?

* Safety:

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? Yes

Finances

* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)

Not including program expenses, about how much money did you spend on food and other expenses each week? Grocery trips in Italy are normally daily or every 2-3 days, so food was a main expense but it's worth the freshness and the experience!
Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? Save your change, Italians prefer that you use coins as opposed to bills, so just beware!

What was the highest level language course you had completed prior to departure? 4 semesters of spanish

Do you have any tips/advice on the best ways to practice the language for future study abroad participants? Grocery stores and ordering food really helps, and there are plenty of apps that you can use to help you along as well! Also, don't be afraid to ask the locals how to pronounce something, they are very kind and would love to help you learn correctly!
