Constructor University: Bremen - Direct Enrollment & Exchange

What did you gain/learn from your experience abroad? Was it worthwhile?
the travel was the best part and definitely worthwhile

Personal Information

How much international exposure did you have prior to this program? 2 weeks - 1 month

Review Your Program

* Overall educational experience

Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc.

the courses were not very rigorous compared to wellesley. Classes were mostly lecture based and class participation was often minimal. Many of more courses contained a presentation component which Wellesley often doesn't

* Host Country Program Administration

On-site administration of your program

the administration of the school was not that efficient compared to Wellesley

* Housing:

How satisfied were you with your living arrangements?

dorms were nice. Common spaces were not always the cleanest

* Food:

the meals were a hit or miss (often a miss)

* Social & Cultural Integration:

How integrated did you feel with the local culture?

the small school size made it very easy to integrate. The students were very welcoming

* Health Care:

How well were health issues addressed during the program?

* Safety:

relatively safe if you are smart. campus itself felt very safe

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? Yes

while my program had its flaws, the ppl I met and the experiences I had made it worth it

Finances

* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)

i budgeted accordingly before I left so it wasn't an issue for me

Not including program expenses, about how much money did you spend on food and other expenses each week? 200 euros (mostly because of travelling)
Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? make sure you have more than enough saved before you go. If you are constantly worried about money, you won't get the full experience. Over budget. also keep track of your expenses
