About
This program provides students with an opportunity to continue their study of photography, creative writing, and historical and contemporary art, working in the incomparably rich cultural settings of Rome, Italy. The program includes a trip to the Venice Biennale – the largest and most important international contemporary art exposition in the world.
This course will take advantage of the particular situation in which we find ourselves – living in the beautiful, iconic, historically rich foreign city of Rome – to simultaneously pursue visual and written work and art historical study. In Rome, we will explore Renaissance and Baroque visual and narrative styles, applying them both to creative experiments and to our analysis of contemporary global art in Venice.
