Maynooth: a hidden treasure Past Review

By (Health and Exercise Science, Sports Medicine, Colorado State University) for

ISA Study Abroad in Dublin, Ireland

What did you gain/learn from your experience abroad? Was it worthwhile?
I loved studying abroad, it allowed my to relax, take a break and explore the world around me. I had never been out of the country before and it really threw me out of my comfort zone and challenged me. I also enjoyed taking classes outside my health/pre medicine major.

Review Your Program

* Overall educational experience

Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc.

The teaching methods got a lot of time to get accustomed to, the grading system was also hard to process that a 100 wasn't attainable and a 70 was an A.

* Host Country Program Administration

On-site administration of your program

Coleman was great, he typically had an answer for any type of question and allowed us to do our own exploring. I really liked and appreciated that Interstudy picked me up from the airport upon arrival.

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)

Comments: This course was not what I expected, the teacher was very nice however not a very good teacher. I still don't have a grasp on what I was suppose to learn for that semester or how to prepare for it to earn good marks.
