Ireland Study Abroad Reflections: Comprehensive Reviews of Past Programs

What did you gain/learn from your experience abroad? Was it worthwhile?
When you are abroad you really get a sense for what is out there instead of just being fed stuff from the media. For me this helped me gain knowledge of the world so I had my own idea what was going on in other countries.

Personal Information

How much international exposure did you have prior to this program? 2 weeks - 1 month

Review Your Program

* Overall educational experience

Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc.

It was the perfect blend of lecture and hands on learning through the Irish community!

Always willing to help with anything you need!

* Housing:

How satisfied were you with your living arrangements?

* Food:

Most of the meals were on our own but the meals included were amazing!!

We volunteered in the community so you could really grasp their culture from interacting with members of their community..

I gained so much from this program whether I'm talking about my knowledge on medeval history or my cultural sensitivity or awareness.

* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)

Not including program expenses, about how much money did you spend on food and other expenses each week? Probably like $100
