International Business Seminars: Winter Europe

What did you gain/learn from your experience abroad? Was it worthwhile?
I gained friends, knowledge about business overseas, knowledge about all the places I went.

Personal Information

How much international exposure did you have prior to this program? 0-2 weeks

Review Your Program

* Overall educational experience

Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc.

All of our company visits were very educational. Loved how much knowledge Mark had on the towns it was very helpful that he was on the tripped. I feel that there was a good balance when it came to the academic part.

* Host Country Program Administration

On-site administration of your program

All the staff was wonderful and always seemed to be in a good mood even in stressful situations.

* Housing:

How satisfied were you with your living arrangements?

I feel that by the last place it would have been nice to pick your room assignment just because we all knew who we got along with. The hotels were all very nice and really liked how they knew we were part of the IBS group.

* Food:

All the food that was included was very good, no complaints!

* Social & Cultural Integration:

How integrated did you feel with the local culture?

I feel that most all information I needed about the local culture was told to us. I found the information we were told on the trip was very helpful. Where the information before leaving could of overwhelmed people.

* Health Care:

How well were health issues addressed during the program?

Though I did not have any experience with healthcare on the trip. I feel my rating is accurate based on the fact that every one was sick and I know they got the care and help needed provided to them. Kayla did a really good job making sure everyone had the medicine they needed.

* Safety:

Though there were some minor incidents it was nothing out of the norm that we were not told to watch out for. Advice for the future is to always make sure you don't have things in easy access pockets and to always know the address of the hotel so you don't become an Erik.

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? Yes

Finances

* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)

Not including program expenses, about how much money did you spend on food and other expenses each week? Spent $900 during the trip.
Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? Plan ahead for the trip and it is very do able. I got a lot of family members who I am not close to at all who gave me money because they saw that I posted a go fund me on fb.
