Overall Experience
I think this experience was worthwhile. I hadn't been abroad before this trip so it was a good experience to get my feet wet in international travel. My Spanish speaking skills also improved considerably. I will definitely be returning to Spain in the future. - University of Arizona View Entire Review
I gained confidence in myself and learned lots of new vocabulary along with better grammar. It was worthwhile as I accomplished everything I wanted to. - Birmingham-Southern College View Entire Review
A student studying abroad with Instituto Franklin-UAH: International Studies Program
I learned what it meant to get out of your comfort zone and to try new things. I gained a sense of courage. I also learned that what you get out of your experience abroad is how much effort you put into it. It was definitely worthwhile. - Curry College View Entire Review

About

Can you only study and travel for a short period of time? Only take courses in English? Don’t want to go through the hassle of applying for a student visa? Do you enjoy topics in International Relations, Criminal Justice, Gender Studies, or Law? Then our International Studies Program is right for you! In collaboration with the Consortium of Transatlantic Studies and Scholarship (CTSS), this program offers a dynamic experience involving visiting faculty and students from different universities around the world. All courses explore specific topics from an international perspective. Participants have a unique experience of in-depth immersion into Spanish customs, traditions, language, and culture, but have classes in English. Our CTSS program is shorter than 90 days, so you will not need to apply for a student visa. You will receive all the housing benefits, on-site support, and the same excursions we offer to our semester study abroad students.

Note: Less than 90 days, no need for a student visa (confirm with the Spanish Embassy in your country of origin), courses are taught in English, earn 12 credits, and students will receive the same benefits, conditions, and support as semester study abroad students. Students from all over the world are welcome to apply.
