Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc.

I loved all of my classes at Victoria Unviersity of Wellington! Expecially the anthro classes, the lectures were fantastic.

Great administation. Always answered questions and really worked to make international students feel welcome and comfortable in New Zealand.

* Housing:

How satisfied were you with your living arrangements?

I loved my flatmates and lived in a beautiful flat close to the university.

* Food:

Coffee on campus was amazing!

* Social & Cultural Integration:

How integrated did you feel with the local culture?

I felt really integrated, I learned about Maori culture.

* Health Care:

How well were health issues addressed during the program?

I didn't go to health services while abroad.

* Safety:

Very safe, I never felt unsafe walking around the city.

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? Yes

Yes! I would love to go and study/live in New Zealand if I were given the oppertunity.

Finances

* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)

Food is very cheap in NZ and I was able to fly to the south island for at least $25 usd.

Not including program expenses, about how much money did you spend on food and other expenses each week? $20-$30 per week.
Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? Go to weekend markets! They're a lot of fun and you can great deals on fresh veggies.
