What did you gain/learn from your experience abroad? Was it worthwhile?
I loved learning about London and really enjoyed being totally immersed in the culture

Personal Information

How much international exposure did you have prior to this program? 2 weeks - 1 month

Review Your Program

* Overall educational experience

Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc.

* Host Country Program Administration

On-site administration of your program

I felt like there was no support after the orientation day.

* Housing:

How satisfied were you with your living arrangements?

It is extremely loud in the Alexander Fleming building, the doors slam shut and I could hear everything that happened next door and downstairs. When I went to ask if anyone could help with the noise I was told to deal with it myself. I was extremely unhappy with the experience.

* Food:

* Social & Cultural Integration:

How integrated did you feel with the local culture?

* Health Care:

How well were health issues addressed during the program?

* Safety:

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? No

The time I had in the dorms was so terrible that I would never choose this program again.

Finances

* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)

The food is much more expensive than that in America and I went way over budget.

Language

* Did your program have a foreign language component? No

A Look Back

* What did you like most about the program?
  • The teacher
  • The class
* What could be improved?
  • The Dorms
  • The support given
* What do you know now that you wish you knew before going on this program? Everything is extremely expensive and a weekly oyster card is better than pay as you go. Also, the student helpers are just there to get drunk with the students, which I found completely unacceptable.
