Review Your Program

* Overall educational experience

Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc.

The teachers were very involved and the classes were relatively easy. They put us in different levels based on an assessment test we took at orientation. Even though we were in different levels we all reviewed the same credit. The school was very dirty and different than home universities. Bathrooms were appalling.

* Host Country Program Administration

On-site administration of your program

They were always available to us and constantly updating us.

* Housing:

How satisfied were you with your living arrangements?

My neighborhood was a very safe neignhorhood for buenos aires. My host family was not very clean and that was is only negative. The rest of my experience with my host family was extremely positive. I felt welcome and safe with them.

* Food:

All food is amazing!

* Social & Cultural Integration:

How integrated did you feel with the local culture?

* Health Care:

How well were health issues addressed during the program?

* Safety:

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? Yes

Finances

* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)

Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? no

Language

* Did your program have a foreign language component? Yes
How would you rate your language skills at the beginning of the program? Advanced
What was the highest level language course you had completed prior to departure? Many upper division spanish classes
If applicable, to what degree did your living situation aid your language acquisition?

Language acquisition improvement?

I practiced the language in classes and with my host family. It is imperative that you know more than basic spanish to study in this country. It is not as traveller friendly as Spani is.
