A Semester in Adelaide Past Review
By Christianne Hill (Winona State University) - abroad from 02/13/2018 to 07/01/2018 with
IFSA: Adelaide - University of Adelaide
I gained a better understanding of Australian culture, aswell as how diverse the people are through the country. For example, the culture in Adelaide was very different from Outback culture and so on. I learned the importance of saying "yes" and trusting yourself. My semester abroad was completely worthwhile and am incredibly grateful for the opportunity I had.

Urbanest was centrally located which made walking places easy. It was also across the street from the train station which made accessing suburbs also simple. |

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost) |
Adelaide is one of the most affordable cities in the world, and I was able to live comfortably on a students budget. It was also inexpensive to travel as it is near other major cities such as Melbourne and Sydney. |
Not including program expenses, about how much money did you spend on food and other expenses each week? | $150 |
