What did you gain/learn from your experience abroad? Was it worthwhile?
I would do this again in a heartbeat. I can not wait to go back to Australia, and hopefully travel some more.

Review Your Program

* Overall educational experience

Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc.

I learned a lot both inside and outside the classroom so I felt it was a great experience.

* Host Country Program Administration

On-site administration of your program

* Housing:

How satisfied were you with your living arrangements?

If anyone is studying at Macquarie University I would recommend living in Dunmore Lange College. It was so much fun and I made a lot of Australian friends because it was dorm stlye housing.

* Food:

It was like a dinning hall, but it was nice to not have to spend money on food.

* Health Care:

How well were health issues addressed during the program?

* Safety:

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? Yes

Finances

* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)

Not including program expenses, about how much money did you spend on food and other expenses each week? I spent a lot, but there was always so much to do.
Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? Know how much you want to spend before you get there, but be realistic. When you are abroad you are going to want to spend money and see the country.

Language

How would you rate your language skills at the beginning of the program? None
Language acquisition improvement?

It was an English speaking country, and English is my first language. I did learn a lot of Aussie slang which I sometimes like to use in the US

Comments: This was great because I got to learn a lot about Australian culture, by watching aussie movies that I was not exposed to in the U.S. We also listened to Aussie music and watched and analyzed their television show. I met a lot of great people in this class too
