What did you gain/learn from your experience abroad? Was it worthwhile?
I gained so much confidence from this experience, it was my first time really traveling alone. I am not afraid to travel alone anymore and am comfortable using local transportation anywhere I go.

Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc.

The course was great, rigorous and was very interesting. My professor always made sure that we understood all concepts and made sure to answer any questions we had.

The staff at the center was fantastic and were always happy to help with anything I needed.

How satisfied were you with your living arrangements?

The housing arrangements were fantastic, I stayed in an apartment that was within ten minutes of the IES center and about five minutes from the Vatican.

How integrated did you feel with the local culture?

How well were health issues addressed during the program?

I have an autoimmune disease that requires weekly injections, the staff at IES abroad was extremely helpful.

* Safety:

I felt safe the entire time I was in Rome, I was also careful when I went out and never went out alone.

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? Yes

Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? When buying train tickets prices can vary based on times so don't buy the first ticket you find, there are probably cheeper ones!
