I made fantastic friends and improved my Spanish. In my opinion it was definitely worthwhile.

I loved the IES Abroad program. They had great teachers and directors and I always knew what was going on schedule-wise. They were organized and made sure everyone was doing well.

Do you have any tips/advice on the best ways to practice the language for future study abroad participants? Talk. Even if others are speaking English, speak Spanish. Make friends with some locals and talk with them. Don't worry about making mistakes, it's part of learning. Talking is the best thing you can do.

* What do you know now that you wish you knew before going on this program? I had a lot of trepidation about living in the Residence Hall and interacting with people on the street. I would have been calmer knowing it was going to be fine.
