"Not better or worse, just different." Past Review

By (Indiana University - Bloomington) - abroad from 09/03/2018 to 12/19/2018 with

IES Abroad: Barcelona - Study Abroad with IES Abroad

What did you gain/learn from your experience abroad? Was it worthwhile?
I learned that culture and perspectives are not better or worse in an ordinal system, they are just simply different. Do not judge in a ranking system but instead admire the differences and embrace them

The Nearly Native or Trail Blazer
Craving the most authentic experience possible, perhaps you lived with a host family or really got in good with the locals. You may have felt confined by your program requirements and group excursions. Instead, you'd have preferred to plan your own trips, even skipping class to conduct your own 'field work.'
